n a major recruitment drive to bolster its security apparatus, the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has invited applications from Pakistani Nationals with a background in the Armed Forces to fill a wide range of positions on a contract basis. The Federal Government is seeking to induct experienced and physically fit retired personnel for roles ranging from Inspector (BPS-16) and Sub-Inspector (BPS-14) to various Constable and Commando positions (BPS-07).

This is a significant opportunity for experienced individuals from the Armed Forces to transition into a second career of national importance, contributing their valuable skills and discipline to the country’s premier counter-terrorism body. The roles are distributed across various provincial and regional quotas, ensuring representation from all parts of Pakistan. The positions on offer are central to the operational and security functions of NACTA. The authority is seeking to hire an Inspector (Security) in BPS-16, for which the eligibility is retired personnel of SM/Subedar or equivalent ranks. For the role of Sub-Inspector in BPS-14, retired N/Subedar or equivalent ranks are required. A substantial number of positions are available for Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI) in BPS-11, open to retired Havaldar/Naik or equivalent ranks.

At the constable level, NACTA is recruiting for several specialized roles in BPS-07, all requiring retired personnel of L-Naik/Sepoy or equivalent ranks. These include Constable (Operator Communication Unit)Constable (Intelligence Operator), and a large contingent of Constable (Field Cadre). Furthermore, NACTA is seeking to hire Commandos (BPS-07), for which candidates must be SSG course qualified, and Lady Constables (BPS-07), who must have prior experience in performing Lady Searcher duties in either the Armed Forces or Police.

A critical prerequisite for all security officials is that they must be “Physically Fit” to perform their duties. Final selection will be subject to a comprehensive medical fitness certificate from the relevant authorities.

The duties of the selected security officials will be diverse and critical to the security of NACTA’s headquarters. Responsibilities will include controlling boundary walls from watch towers, managing the main gates, controlling the movement of all incoming and outgoing personnel and vehicles, handling the latest security systems, and implementing all security SOPs and protocols. These roles require vigilance, professionalism, and the ability to eradicate any sort of external involvement in the operational matters of NACTA.
