The Selection Gauntlet: A Multi-Stage Process

The first hurdle is the Intelligence and Academic Test. This is an E-Test conducted at the designated PAF Information & Selection Centres (PAFI & SCs) and covers subjects including Mathematics, General Science, English, and Urdu. Candidates must bring their registration slip and the paid challan form to be allowed into the examination hall.
Those who successfully qualify the written tests will proceed to the next stage, which includes a Preliminary Medical Examination and an Initial Interview held at the same selection centres. This phase assesses the candidate’s physical fitness and basic personality traits.
Only the candidates who are shortlisted after the initial interview will be called for the final, more intensive stages. This includes a Final Board Interview, which is a comprehensive assessment of the candidate’s personality, confidence, and motivation, and a Final Medical Examination to ensure they meet the stringent medical standards of the PAF. The final selection is made strictly in order of merit from the pool of candidates who clear all stages.

The first step for any aspiring candidate is to obtain the prospectus and pay the examination fee. A bank challan for Rs. 2,500/-, which covers the cost of the prospectus and the examination fee, will be available on the PAF Induction Website (www.joinpaf.gov.pk) and the College Website (www.topians.edu.pk) from 21 July, 2025. This amount must be deposited in any branch of Habib Bank Limited (HBL) by 03 September, 2025.
