Maximum Age Limit: The candidate shall not be more than sixty-two (62) years of age on the last date of application.

Candidates must meet the criteria from one of the following three categories:

Category (i): The Eminent Academician

Must be an eminent academician and distinguished Medical Professional, qualified to be a full Professor as per HEC criteria (Medical Sciences).
Must possess a postgraduate fellowship or a PhD in a medical field from an HEC/PMDC recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 20 years of overall experience.
- This must include 10 years of administrative, financial, and academic experience in senior leadership positions such as Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dean, Chairman, Rector, Registrar, or Principal in a University/DAI/College OR in BPS-17 & above (or equivalent) in a public or reputable private organization.

Category (ii): The Senior Cadre Officer

Must be a cadre officer (PAS, Ex-PCS, PSS, PMS) of BPS-21 or above.
Qualification: Must hold an MBBS Degree AND a Master’s degree in any discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
Condition: Upon selection, the officer must resign or seek retirement from their respective cadre service.

Category (iii): The Distinguished Professional

Qualification: Must have a Master’s degree (PhD is preferred) in a relevant field.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in academia, intelligentsia, civil society, research, or a management leadership position.
Research Record: Must possess a distinguished research and publication record with at least 10 publications in HEC-recognized journals.
